| The typical personalities of our dogs. Gaia throws me the ball, and then refuses to take her eyes off it, while Ginger looks expectantly to see what I'll do. It's pretty obvious which dog ends up with the ball most often in play. :-) |

The bike and I head off to the northwest instead
of down toward the river. The climb reminds me that
my derailleur is mal-adjusted such that I don't have
the use of my largest rear sprocket. My nominal
18 speed bike is really only capable of 15 speeds
right now, and for one short moment, I could have sure
used that low gear I can't access.
Anyway, here's just a shot looking over the chaparral to the snow-dotted mountain in the distance. (Everyone knows that snow is most beautiful from a distance. ;-) |
| An overview from just shy of the BIA compound. (Do I need to mention that BIA is Bureau of Indian Affairs?) That central mound seems to just rise up out of nowhere. It's covered with saguaro, but at 640, it's invisible, and the batteries were too low to be able to change the resolution. |
| Headed back... downhill coast most of the way. The same snow-dotted peak as before, but this time with some company. |
