Back on pavement after the worst 22 miles of teeth-rattling washboard you ever want to drive. We did go by a grader, but it looks like road maintenance needs are probably more than a single grader, even full-time, can provide.
Anyway, this is the lower side of the Roosevelt Dam. It doesn't seem to be as large as Coolidge, and you can't even drive over it.

The upper side of the dam. The part near the water looks like quarried stone, while the upper section is concrete, and obviously much newer.
Maybe for extra flood control potential? ... though I certainly can't imagine the reach of Roosevelt Lake if the water ever crested the Dam!

Turn a 180 from the dam, and you have a pan of the bridge.
