Peppers just don't seem fated to do well in these environs. First the moles, and now a big wind breaks some of the heavier fruit-laden branches.

The squashes continue to spread, and now that the other side of the fence is no longer a road, I've let the vines wander beyond that boundary. You can't really make them out, but there are a couple of two-pounders+ hanging from the fence. (just to the right of the "center" fence post) The last one we harvested was 3.6 lbs!
